| 내용 | 수변도시Waterfront의 시각이미지에 의한 차별적 도시이미지 형성 연구 장 완 영 강원대학교 ------------------------------------------------------- 국문초록 물은 우리 인간생활에 있어서 중요한 요소로서 혜택 을 주어 왔으며， 물을 잘 활용하는 인간에게 물질적. 정 신적 안정과 발전을 주어왔다. 물을 끼고있는 수변도시의 수역과 육역을 연결하는 수변공간 (Waterfront)을 효과적으로 개발함으로서 도 시의 발전은 물론 도시민의 윤택한 생활을 제공 하는데 착안하여 , 선진 외국에서는 이미 오래전부터 이를 활용 하고있다. 우리나라에서도 해안도시로 부터 강이나 호 수를 끼고있는 도시들이 수변공간 개발을 계획하고 시 행하는 사례가 늘고있다. 그러나 국내의 경우， 수변공간의 구조물이나 시설물 을 환경미학적 차원에서 조형적으로 다루고 있는 사례 는 극히 미진한 실태이어서 이의 개선이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 선진국의 개발사례와 국내의 실태를 현지방문과 문헌조사및 선행 연구논문을 통하여 분석， 연구하였으며. 그 결과 수변공간 개발에 있어서 수변의 구조물‘ 스트리트 퍼니처 (street furniture) ‘ 안내사 인， 조명시설， 공공시설물등에 대하여 ‘물의 이미지’ 와 관련한 조형적인 연출을 시도 함으로서 도시발전에 크 게 기여할수 있음을 확인할 수 있다 뿐만 아니라 수변 도시 수변공간의 개발은 도시기능은 물론， 도시민의 정 서 함양에도 영향을 주며 쾌적한 도시형성을 위한 중요 한 요소로서 인식된다- 사람과 친수성 이 강한 호수를 끼고있는 호반도시는 호수변공간(Lakefront) 을 개발함 으로서 호반도시의 문화적‘ 관광적 발전은 물론， 차별 적 도시 이미지를 제고 시킬수 있는 장점을 갖게한다 이와같이 수변공간을 효과적으로 개발 하는것은 도시 발전을 위한 문화적 도구로서 도시민의 ‘삶의 질’ 을 높 히는 중요한 계기가 될 것이다. Abstract Historically cities have been formed and developed in the areas where water is fourid nearby. This confirms water is of great importance to human life. It actually ensures physical and psychological safety and helps humans achieve development. In advanced countries. areas near water in cities and waterfront have long been utilized since an effective development of those areas brought about cultural and economical development. 80 more and more cities along the coast or river or lake in Korea are making plans of developing the waterfront or already implementing those plans. However. they tend to consider the waterfront simply as a lakeshore and seashore in terms of the comprehensive city plan, and there are few cases that they create facilities from environmentally aesthetic point of view. This needs to be changed. This study analyzes and 'Compares development cases in advanced countries and situations in Korea by actually visiting sites and studying related documents. The research found that an attempt to create aesthetics reflecting the ‘image of water' utilizing structur es in the waterfront , street furniture , sign system‘ lighting facilities and public facilities and others can contribute to the municipal development as well. Furthermore, development of waterfront is a very important element in making cities function properly, And at the same time it can contribute to creating a clean and comfortable environment for people, A city developed on a lakefront can have a very good image, which can in turn help people achieve further development in terms of culture and tourism An effective development of waterfront can be an opportunity to enhance the quality of life of the people living in the city since it can be an important tool to improve surrounding environment. keyword Urban Waterfront‘ Visual Image Building, Differencial City Image. |
