| 내용 | 정서표현과 아바타 캐릭터의 시각화 Emotional expression and Avatar characters' Visualizes 이향재(Lee, Hyng jai) 천안대학교 디자인영상학부 ------------------------------------------------------- 논문요약 Abstract 1. 서론 1-1. 연구배경 1-2. 연구목적 1-3. 연구범위 및 방법 2. 이론적 배경 2-1. 아바타의 언어적 개념 및 특성 2-2. 정서표현의 개념과 구성요소 3. 정서표현과 아바타의 시각화 4. 정서표현의 구성요소에 따른 아바타의 시각화 4-1. 주관적 요소의 시각화 4-2. 기능적 요소의 시각화 4-3 표현적 행동 요소의 시각화 4-3. 생물학적 요소의 시각화 4. 결론 요 약 본 연구는 온라인 커뮤니티 공간에서 아바타 캐릭터를 통한 사용자의 정서표현과 그에 따른 시각적 표현을 살펴보았다. 사용자가 제어하는 아바타의 모든 행동은 의사소통의 중요한 수단과 표현인 동시에 자아형성에도 영향을 미칠 수 있기 때문이다. 연구대상은 온라인 커뮤니티 공간에 실재생활과 유사한 특성으로 존재하는 아바타만을 대상으로 하였다. 연구내용은 힌두사상의 아바타 유래와 웹상의 아바타 특징을 간단히 살펴보고, 정서표현의 4가지 구성요소인 주관적 요소, 기능적 요소, 표현적 행동 요소, 생리적 요소 등에 따라 유형별로 아바타 캐릭터의 시각적 표현을 살펴보았다. 살펴본 결과 정서표현의 구성요소에 따른 아바타의 시각화는 유형별로의 분류가 가능하나 각 요소는 시각화의 공통된 부분을 갖고 있었다. 또한 아바타의 감정표현에 따른 시각적 표현은 과거에 비해 더욱 강화되고는 있으나 아직까지도 의사소통을 위한 감정표현의 기본적인 특성만 사용되고 있었다. 아바타는 사용자의 개성표출로 의사소통의 중요한 수단과 표현인 동시에 자아 자아형성에도 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 특히 아바타의 손쉬운 이미지 변형과 익명성의 매력은 사이버 범죄까지 이르는 사용자의 정체성에 혼란을 초래하기 쉬운 요소들이다. 따라서 계속적인 기술적 연구와 더불어 정서표현에 따른 정리된 자료를 바탕으로 양면(학문과 실용)적 목적을 위해서라도 언어와 동작의 상보적인 관계를 면밀히 검토해 나가야 할 것으로 본다. 주제어： 아바타, 정서표현, 시각화, 커뮤니케이션 Abstract The present study purposed to analyze visual design elements for users' emotional expression through avatar characters in online community space of virtual environment. It is because users' emotional expression is closely related to avatar characters' visual expression through social synchronization. We limited the scope of research to avatar characters found in online community space and investigated within the range of emotional expression components. As for the contents of research, we reviewed the origin of avatars in Hinduism and the characteristics of avatars on the Web, and comparatively analyzed the elements of emotional expression such as subjective emotion, functional emotion, emotional expression behavior and physiological reaction as well as the visual expression of avatar characters. Avatar characters found in online community space were used as research models. According to the results of this study, users' emotion can be expressed with various visual elements of avatars and, through this, socially synchronized interaction is activated in virtual environment. Socially synchronized emotional expression and avatars' visual expression are meaningful in that they work as important criteria for interaction in online community space and activate internal interaction between senders and receivers. |
