| 내용 | 시각예술에서의 모자이크기법 사용과 시각표상 -모자이크의 역사적 고찰과 현대작가를 중심으로- The Use of Mosaic techniques and Visual Representation in Visual Art - Focused on historical consideration of Mosaic and Modern Artist - 안호은 안양과학대학 산업디자인학부 교수 Ahn Ho-Eun Anyang Tec College =================================================== 목차 1. 서 론 2. 모자이크 2-1. 모자이크의 역사와 정의 2-2. 자연계의 모자이크 원형 2-3. 모자이크의 범주 3. 모자이크표상과 인지 구조 3-1. 시지각 구조와 모자이크 형태지각 3-2. 외부자극의 표상 4. 모자이크의 표상화 4-1. 근대 및 현대 미술작품의 사례 4-2. 작품의 인지과정과 모자이크 표상재현 5. 결 론 참고문헌 논문요약 모자이크는 부분의 조합으로 전체를 구성하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 고대에서부터 사용된 모자이크 기법은 구체성과 상징성을 표현하는 미술양식으로 사용되어져 왔다. 과학기술의 발전과 더불어 그 표현양식이 보다 지능적으로 변화되고 기법은 정보의 시각화분야와 뉴미디어아트 장르에서 확장되어 사용되고 있다. 디지털기술을 이용한 과학적이고 지능형 모델 재현방식이 제시되지만 모자이크의 근원적 개념은 시대를 초월하여 그 유사성이 발견된다. 부분을 통해 전체를 인식하거나 전체로서 대상을 파악하는 인간의 특성은 모자이크양식에 잘 반영되어있다. 이 글은 모자이크에 대해 역사적인 고찰과 현대작가들의 작업을 통해 표현양식의 차이를 살펴보았다. 모자이크는 인간의 신체적, 인지적 지각 특성이 고려된 표현양식이며 부분과 전체의 관계성에 대한 철학적 논제를 내포하고 있다. 인식의 문제는 외부로 부터의 지각자극과 연관이 있으며 추상성과 구상성의 추론기준이 되기도 한다. 모자이크는 또한 적용상에 논리적이고 과학적인 과정을 가진다. 모자이크방식은 시각적 패턴으로서 다양한 미디어를 통해 꾸준히 재현되고 있으며 새로운 표현의 가능성을 내포하고 있다. 주제어: 모자이크, 시각표상, 시각미술 Abstract The feature of Mosaic is that the parts compose the whole. The mosaic technique which is represent concrete and symbolic images has been used from ancient world. Development of technologies bring more intelligent style and the technique expand for information visualization, new media. However, the fundamental concept of mosaic has similarities over the period even appear artificial intelligent model using digital technology. This paper describes historical background of mosaic and styles of modern artist who are using mosaic methods. Mosaic is the representational style which is considered human's physical, cognitive characters and it included philosophical issues about the relationship between parts and whole. The problem of cognition is being associated with eternal stimuli and it is the stand for inferences from concrete and abstract. Mosaic also has logical and scientific unfolding process while being applied.
