| 내용 | 애니메이션「뮬란」의 가정지향적 여성영웅성 연구 Study on family-oriented female heroism in animation「Mulan」 조필호 부천대학 광고디자인과 겸임교수 Cho pill-ho Bucheon College Department of Advertising Design Adjunct Professor 최인숙 강원대학교 문화예술대학 디자인학과 교수 Choi in-sook Kangwon National University College of Art&Culture Department of Design Professor ============================================================ 1. 서 론 2. 여성영웅의 등장배경과 유형 2-1. 남성중심 지배이데올로기의 변화 2-2. 여성영웅의 유형 3. 「뮬란」의 작품분석 3-1. 자아발견의 욕망 3-2. 프롭의 서사구조 분석 3-3. 가정지향적 영웅성 4. 결 론 참고문헌 논문요약 할리우드 애니메이션「뮬란」은 동양의 이야기이다. 그 가운데에서도 여성영웅에 대한 이야기이다. 본 연구는 여성영웅을 유형화하는 논문으로서 뮬란에게서 나타나는 가정지향적 영웅성을 분석하였다. 작품분석에 앞서 여성영웅을 단지 캐릭터의 활약상이나 시각적 분석으로 접근해왔던 한계를 극복하기 위해 여성영웅이 등장하게 되는 사회적 배경을 이해할 수 있도록 여성영웅소설과 여성영웅영화를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 여성영웅의 등장배경에 대한 기존 지배이데올로기의 변화와 사회적 배경과의 연관성을 이해하게 된다. 또한 여성영웅을 고난과정에서 겪는 세계와의 갈등과 욕망을 통해 애정지향, 가정지향, 도덕지향으로 나누고 여성영웅의 유형별 특징을 분석하였다. 이어 작품분석을 위해 서사구조 분석틀을 도입함으로 원시동화로부터 오늘날의 애니메이션에 까지 적용되고 있는 서사적 특징이 인간정신의 기본적인 속성 중에 하나라는 점과 예외적인 양상의 공존을 분석해보았다. 여성영웅에게 있어 고난 모티프와 함께 녹아있는 것을 자아발견의 욕망으로 정의하고 뮬란의 자아발견의 욕망과 그것이 어떻게 작품에서 나타나는지 살펴보았고, 마지막으로 뮬란의 영웅성을 유형화함에 있어 가정지향적 성향으로 판단할 수 있는 특징들을 작품분석을 통해 연구하였다. 본 연구는 개인, 가정, 국가를 구조화하여 여성의 지향가치에 의해 여성영웅을 유형화할 수 있으며, 영웅을 유아적이고 시각적인 것으로 판단하려는 일련의 단면적이고 관습적인 시각에서 다면적이며 탈관습적인 접근의 가능성을 보여주었다는데 의의가 있다. 주제어: 뮬란, 여성영웅, 가정지향 Abstract 「Mulan」is one of the oriental stories, and is especially concerned with female heroism among them. Family-oriented heroism of Mulan was analyzed to materialize heroines with a view to serve the purpose of this study. In order to overcome the existing limitations of approaching heroism by their achievements or visual analysis, heroin fictions and movies were analyzed to understand the social backgrounds where heroins appear. Through these analyses, it is found that the appearance of heroins involves a change or fall of the male-dominant ideology, and it can be regarded as a social phenomenon that the appearance of heroin is accompanied by a social revolution. In addition, the conflict with the world appearing in the course of hardships was divided into three categories such as a individual, a family, and a nation by means of materialization of heroins, so that the characteristics of heroines according to those categories can be understood with the three materialized classification criteria. And, by introducing analytical framework in narrative structure for analyzing literary works, followings were analyzed; the fact that narrative characteristics which applied from primitive fairy tales to modern animations are one of the substantial traits of human spirit, and coexistence of exceptional aspects. The things that exist with suffering motif in heroines were defined as a desire for self-discovery, and Mulan's desire for self-discovery and the way it is presented in those literary works were examined. Lastly, those characteristics which can be determined as family-oriented traits in materializing the heroism of Mulan was studied through work analysis. Heroins can be materialized by women-driven values through structuring an individual, a family, and a nation, and this study presents a possibility of multilateral and non-customary approach breaking from a series of mono-lateral and customary views which look upon a hero as a being, both childish and visual.
