| 내용 | 21세기 초 남성패션에 표현된 낭만주의 특성 The Romanticism Characteristics Expressed in Men's Fashion at the Beginning of 21st Century 안광숙 호남대학교 의상디자인학과 조교수 An Kwang Sook Assistant Prof., Dept. of Fashion Design, Honam University ----------------------------------------------------- 1. 서론 1.1. 연구의 목적 1.2. 연구의 범위 및 방법 2. 낭만주의 시대와 남성복식 2.1. 낭만주의 시대 사회․문화적 특성 2.2. 낭만주의시대 남성복식의 특성 3. 21세기 초 남성패션의 변화의 특성 3.1. 21세기 초 남성패션의 변화 3.2. 21세기 초 남성패션의 특성 4. 21세기 초 남성패션에 표현된 낭만주의 특성 4.1. 관능성 4.2. 장식성 4.3. 이국성 4.4. 혼용성 5. 결론 참고문헌 논문요약 21세기 초 남성패션의 시대적 양상은 다양한 패션의 변화와 자유롭고 새로운 스타일을 창조한다는 의미에서 18세기 낭만주의시대 남성복식과 사회, 문화, 시대적 상황이 비슷하다. 이를 바탕으로 19세기 낭만주의시대 남성복식의 특성과 21세기 초 남성패션의 변화에 따른 낭만주의적 특성을 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 낭만주의시대 남성복식의 특성은 몸에 꼭 맞는 ‘X'자형 실루엣으로 성적인 매력을 강조할 수 있는 관능성, 일정부분에서는 과거의 복고적 성향과 함께 색상과 디테일 문양 등에서 장식성이 나타났다. 또한 이국적인 색상이나 취향, 장식등의 이국성이 나타났으며, 다양한 색상과 소재매치의 혼용성이 표현되었다. 21세기 초 남성패션의 특성은 ‘X'자형, 역삼각형, 타이트한 실루엣으로 기존의 전통과 편견을 거부하고 남성도 여성처럼 자신을 꾸미고 치장하며, 남녀복식의 구분이 모호하고 노출이 심한 관능성이 표현되었다. 또한 소재의 다양화에 따른 화려한 디테일과 문양을 사용한 장식성, 동양적인 문양이나 패턴, 소재 실루엣 등의 오리엔탈리즘을 반영한 이국성, 산업기술의 발달에 따른 신소재와 다양하고 이질적인 소재매치의 혼용성으로 분석되었다. 실루엣에 따른 신체 곡선의 강조와 노출, 소재의 다양화와 성적인 고정관념의 파괴 등으로 대변되는 21세기 초 남성패션의 특성도 관능성, 장식성, 이국성, 혼용성 측면에서 낭만주의 시대의 남성복식과 그 맥락을 같이 한다. 또한 19세기 낭만주의 시대 남성복식과 그 특성이 유사하지만 사회적 환경에 따라 다소 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문은 과거 18세기 낭만주의 시대적 상황과 남성복식이 21세기 초 남성패션과 그 양상이 비슷한 점을 바탕으로 낭만주의 시대의 사회, 문화 및 복식의 특성을 연구 하였고, 이는 한 시대의 사회, 문화, 예술적 시대의 반영물이 복식에 상호 작용하여 발전한 수 있다는 것을 다시 확인시켜 주었으며, 21세기 초 남성패션에 대한 연구가 남성복식을 이해하고 미래 남성패션을 연구하는데 도움이 되리라 사료된다. 주제어 낭만주의, 관능성, 장식성, 이국성, 혼용성 Abstract The mode of the early 21st century men's fashion is similar to the social and cultural conditions of men's wear in the 18th century of the age of romanticism in the fact that it creates diverse changes in fashion and new and free styles. Results of researching the features of men's wear in the 19th century era of romanticism and the romanticism features according to the changes of men's fashion in the early 21st century based on the above are as seen below. The features of men's wear in the age of romanticism are the sensuality that emphasizes sexual attraction through the 'X' shaped silhouette that is tight on the body, and the retroactive tendencies in some areas together with the color and accessories such as detailed patterns. In addition, it showed exotic colors and tastes, as well as accessories, and it expresses a mixture of various colors and materials. The characteristic of 21st century men's wear os the refusal of existing traditions and stereotypes such as 'X' shaped, inverse-triangle and tight silhouettes, sensuality with severe exposure where men accessorize their selves like women and there is a vague line between men and women's wear, accessories that uses exquisite details and patterns through diversification of materials, exotic touch reflecting orientalism of patterns and material silhouettes, and mixture of diverse and exotic material matching with the development of industrial technologies. The features of early 21st century men's fashion that is represented by the emphasis and exposure of body lines according to silhouettes, diversification of materials, and destruction of gender stereotypes, is on the same context as that of men's wear in the age of romanticism on the aspect of sensuality, decoration, exoticism and mixture. In addition, though it is similar to the men's wear and features of 19th century romanticism, it is evident that there is some difference according to the social environment. This paper studied the social and cultural features and character of dress in the age of romanticism on the presupposition that the timely conditions and mode of men's fashion was similar in the 18th century age of romanticism with that of the early 21st century. This once again confirmed that the reflections of social, cultural and artistic times of an era was applied in the development of dress, and it is expected that research on early 21st century men's fashion will help improve understanding of men's wear and also assist in research on men's fashion in the future.
