| 내용 | 모션사인(Motion-Sign)의 정의 및 유형분류 Definitions and Typology of Motion-Signs 주저자 : 육호준 경원대학교, 상명대학교, 홍익대학교 강사 Ho-Joon Yook Hongik university Part-time lecturer 교신저자 : 성동선 경원대학교 시각디자인과 교수 Dong-Sun Sung Dept. of Visual Design, Kyungwon university 본 논문은 2010년도 경원대학교 교내특별연구비 지원에 의하여 연구되었음. -------------------------------------------------- 1. 서 론 1-1. 문제제기 및 목적 1-2. 연구범위 및 방법 2. 모션사인의 정의 2-1. 모션사인의 정의 2-2. 모션사인의 공공성과 현황 분석 3. 모션사인의 유형 분류 3-1. 하드웨어의 측면의 분류 3-2. 소프트웨어 측면의 분류 4. 결 론 논문요약 21세기에 접어든 현재 도시는 공공성이라는 새로운 화두로 다양성 속에서 절재와 혁신을 요구 하고 있다. 이러한 요구에 있어서 도시의 수많은 정보 중 광고물에 의한 정보는 상업주의 논리에 의해 서로 경쟁하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 상업주의적 행위는 사회 혹은 도시의 공공성을 심각하게 위협하는 공해적 산물로 전락하였다. 이는 통제권의 사각에서 오로지 상업적 의미만 고려했기 때문이다. 이러한 이유로 본 연구는 광공해와 자극적 움직임에 대한 절재와 디자인적 개념의 적용을 유도하기 위해 움직임이 있는 사인물에 대한 정의와 분류를 진행 하였다. 현재 각 지자체에서는 무분별한 정보공해로서 옥외광고물에 대한 심의 및 규제를 시행하고 있다. 그러나 움직임이 있는 사인물에 대한 규제는 미온적인 것이 현실이다. 특히 움직임이라는 본질적인 문제에 근거하지 않고 단순히 ‘점멸간판, 점멸사인’이라고 정의하고 있다. 이는 광원의 점멸에 의해 움직임이 일어나고 이 움직임으로 인해 공공성의 저해요인이 발생한다는 것을 간과 하고 있다. 이에 움직임이 있는 사인물을 ‘모션사인’이라 정의 하고 이를 하드웨어 측면에서 ‘Neon타입’과 ‘LED타입‘으로 분류하고 세부형식 측면에서 각각 ’노출‘과 ’매립‘으로 세분하였다. 또한 모션의 형식에 따라 ’스트로보스코픽형‘과 ’라이브형‘으로 분류하였다. 본 연구를 통해 정의 및 분류된 ’모션사인‘은 향후 도시야간경관의 공공성에 있어서 새로운 의미와 개념을 정립할 것을 기대 할 수 있으며 모션사인의 움직임의 정량화를 통해 사인물 디자인에 있어서 모션의 디자인을 체계적이고 효과적으로 개발 할 수 있도록 유도 할 수 있다. 주제어 모션사인, 광공해, 공공성 Abstract Contemporary cities in the 21st century require temperance and innovation under the diversity with the new topic in publicness. For this requirement, information by the advertisement from numerous information of city competes each other by the principle of commercialism. However, this type of commercial act has fallen into the pollutant that seriously threaten the social or urban publicness. This is attributable to the consideration of commercial implication in the blinded area from the controlled sector. For this reason, this study has been undertaken for the definition and classification on the signed materials with movement to induce the application of design concept and temperament on stimulating movement and light pollution. Currently, each local government has undertaken deliberation and regulations on outdoor advertisement materials as the indiscrete information pollution. However, the reality is still lukewarm on the regulations for signage that moves around. In particular, the definition simply indicates as 'flickering signage, flickering signboard' without basing on intrinsic issue of movement. This is resulted from the neglect that the interference on publicness occurs due to the motion generated from the flickering of light source and the movement causes the interference. Therefore, the signage with movement is defined as the ‘motion sign’, and it is classified in the hardware aspect for ‘Neon type’ and ‘LED type‘, and further classified into 'exposed' and 'reclaimed' for detailed formation aspect. In addition, depending on the type of motion, it is classified into the ’stroboscopic-type‘ and the ’live-type‘. The 'motion-type' defined and classified through this study may expect to establish the new implication and concept in the publicness of urban night view and, through the qualification of movement for the motion signs, it may attract the motion design in systematically and effectively for the signage design.
