| 내용 | 버버리 프로섬에서의 베일리 영입 전과 후의 트렌치코트 색채분석 A research on color analysis in Burberry Prorsum before and after the recruit of Bailey 김 정 실 경원대학교 의상학과 Kim, Jung Sil Dept. of Clothing, Kyungwon University * 이 연구는 2011년도 경원대학교 지원에 의한 결과임 (KWU-2011-R231) --------------------------------------------------------- 논문요약 본 연구의 대상 브랜드는 100년 이상의 역 사를 가지고 있는 브랜드 중 전통성을 유지하 면서도 유행에 좌우되지 않고 오히려 전통 브 랜드의 이미지를 새로운 감각의 디자인과 색 채, 패턴, 소재 등의 변화로 브랜드를 성공적 으로 이끌고 있는 버버리(Burberry)를 연구대 상으로 선정하였다. 크리스토퍼 베일리 영입 전 오리지널 버버리(2000 S/S～2001 F/W)와 영입 후 버버리 프로섬(2002 S/S～2011 F/W) 의 디자인을 선정해서 트렌치코트의 색상 변 화를 분석하였다. 분석한 결과, 오리지널 버버 리의 트렌치코트는 체크무늬 위주의 Beige, Brown, Navy, Red, Black 등을 전통적인 주 조색으로 사용하였으며, 클래식한 느낌이 주 를 이루었다. 버버리 프로섬은 버버리 고유의 기본 색상을 유지하면서 Ivory, Yellow, Gold, Pink, Blue, Green 등 다양한 색상을 추가적으 로 사용하였으며, 젊은 연령층을 타깃으로 캐 주얼한 느낌을 줌과 동시에 트렌드 색상을 적 용하여 버버리의 영국적 아이덴티티에 모던함 을 결합시켰다. 이로 인해 소비자의 주목을 받게 되었고 시각적 이미지도 강화하였으며, 시즌별 트렌드에 맞게 현대화 전략을 펼쳐 클 래식을 재해석하였다. 주제어 트렌치코트, 오리지널 버버리, 버버리 프 로섬, 색채분석 Abstract With more than 100 years of history and while maintaining the traditions, Burberry stands on its own with the traditional brand image of the new sensational design, colors and patterns. Christopher Bailey has selected 2000 S/S~2001 F/W as the design of original Burberry and 2002 S/S~2011F/W as the design of Burberry Prorsum and analysed the color change in trench coat. As a result, the research has indicated that so-called ‘traditional colors’ of plaid patterns like beige, brown, navy, red, and black colors expressed classic feelings whereas his design of Burberry Prorsum kept the basic check patterns and colors along with a variety of different colors such as yellow, gold, pink, blue, and green. Moreover, Bailey targeted the young people and combined Burberry's British identity with modernism by applying colors that match the trend. The strengthened visual image and the reinterpretation of classics by the seasonal trends through the modern strategy attracted the public attention.
