| 내용 | 사용자경험디자인의 디자인 분류학적 포지션 및 차별적 특성에 대한 연구 The Position of User Experience Design in the Design Discipline and its Distinctive Characteristics 주저자 : 윤주희 이화여자대학교 디지털미디어학부 Joo Hee Yun Ewha Womans University 교신저자 : 류한영 이화여자대학교 디지털미디어학부 Han Young Ryoo Ewha Womans University _______________________________________________________ 논문요약 오늘날 UX디자인의 중요성은 더욱 강조되고 있으나 기존의 디자인과 구분되는 UX디자인만의 차별적 특성을 명확하게 제시하기 어렵다는 점에서 UX디자인의 정체성에 대한 혼란은 계속되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 설문을 통해 포지셔닝 맵을 도출하고, 이를 토대로 이러한 혼란의 원인을 파악하여 UX디자인의 차별적 특성에 대해 논의하고자 하였다. 설문은 디자이너나 디자인 전공자들이 각 디자인 활동을 할 때 심미성과 기능성을 얼마나 중요하게 추구해야 하는지 묻는 방식으로 진행되었다. 설문 결과, UX디자인은 다른 디자인에 비하여 심미성은 낮게, 기능성은 매우 높게 추구해야 하는 곳에 포지셔닝 되었다. 또한 심리적, 감성적 가치보다는 실용적, 효율적 가치를 더욱 중시하는 디자인들과 가깝게 인식되고 있었다. 이러한 결과는 그동안 UX디자인 분야에서 강조되어온 정서적 만족과 같은 가치가 거의 부각되지 못하고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 본 연구는 문헌에 나타난 UX디자인의 특성과 디자이너나 디자인 전공자들이 실제 인식하고 있는 UX디자인의 특성 간에 차이가 있음을 밝혀내고, 이를 바탕으로 앞으로 UX디자인이 정체성을 가지고 나가가기 위하여 강조되어야 할 차별적 특성을 명확히 한 것에 의의가 있다. 주제어 UX디자인, 디자인 분류, 포지셔닝 맵 Abstract Although the significance of UX design has been amplified, it is difficult to explain its distinctive characteristics comparing with other designs. Therefore, a survey was conducted to develop its positioning map and to discuss its distinctive characteristics. Participants of the survey, designers and students studying design, were asked the degree of aesthetic quality and functional quality that should be considered while designing. The results of the survey show that aesthetic quality is not important in UX design whereas functional quality is important. In addition, participants answered that UX design is far from some designs in which emotion and/or entertainment are known as important quality. From the results of the survey, it is possible to conclude that theoretical UX design is not exactly understood by designers and future designers, and it might be necessary to let them know the distinctive characteristics of UX design.
