| 내용 | 영화 타이틀시퀀스에 나타난 내러티브 공간 유형 Classification of narrative space type featured in title sequence of films 주저자 : 신승윤 부산대학교 예술대학 디자인학과 외래교수 Shin seung-yun Pusan national university 교신저자 : 이영숙 동국대학교 영상문화콘텐츠연구원 부연구위원 Lee young-suk Dongguk university institute of image and cultural contents ______________________________________________________________ 논문요약 본 연구는 영화 타이틀시퀀스에 나타난 공간 표현의 유형과 의미를 체계적으로 정리하여 내러티브의 함축적인 시각화를 관찰하였다. 타이틀시퀀스는 짧은 기간 동안 모션그래픽의 한 영역으로서 주목할 만한 발전을 이루어왔으나 공간 기준의 고찰이 부족하였다. 이에 따라 최근 20년간 제작된 62편의 영화 타이틀시퀀스를 대상으로 2차원 평면에 나타난 내러티브 공간의 시각화 특징을 연구하였다. 먼저 문헌 고찰을 근거로 공간 유형을 분류하고 영화 표현의 형식으로 대표되는 장르와 연관하여 분석하였다. 그 결과로서 ‘깊이’, ‘너비’, ‘자유’, ‘고정’, ‘중첩’, ‘분할’ 중심의 여섯 가지 공간 유형을 도출하였다. 이를 장르를 기준으로 어떤 공간 표현 특징이 나타나는지 연구하였다. 본 논문은 공간 중심으로 내러티브를 함축하는 타이틀시퀀스의 표현 방법을 연구하여 공간의 유형과 의미를 제시하고 활용 방안을 제안했다는데 의의가 있다. 이로 인해 내러티브 공간의 상징적 표현과 의미 전달 방법론에 도움이 될 것이라 사료된다. 주제어 타이틀시퀀스, 공간, 영상디자인 Abstract This study investigated implicative visualization of narratives by systematically reviewing on sentiments pervaded in title sequence and the following types and meanings of spatial expression. In fact, formative designs have not drawn much attention despite remarkable advances of title sequence as one of motion graphic fields. Thus, this study analyzed title sequence cases from 62 films produced in the past two decades based on literatures regarding stories, formative parts and images. Six types of spaces and expression features of five narrative groups were consequently found. The significance of the paper is on that it demonstrated the meanings and roles of space focusing on expression methods which imply narratives, and gave suggestions for its application. In the perspective, it is expected to contribute to the methodology for conveying symbolic expressions of narrative space and meanings. Keyword Title Sequence, Space, Motion Graphic |
