| 내용 | 부산도시철도 공간의 공공디자인 효용 연구 - 안내디자인을 중심으로 - A Study of Utility for the Public Design of the Urban Railway Space in Busan - Focused on the Guide Sign Design - 주저자 : 전진이 부산대학교 디자인학과 석사과정 Jeon jin-ee Dept. of Design, Pusan National University 교신저자 : 김성계 부산대학교 디자인학과 교수 Kim sung-kye Dept. of Design, Pusan National University _______________________________________ 논문요약 최근 부산도시철도는 안내사인 교체작업을 비롯하여 공공서비스의 향상을 위한 기술적·문화적 개선을 이어가고 있다. 지하철 공간은 그 도시의 공공복지 수준을 가늠할 수 있는 대표적인 장소로 부산의 국내·외 방문객과 교통약자의 이용비율이 지속적으로 증가하는 가운데, 이에 부합되는 공공디자인의 실현이 더욱 강조되는 시점이다. 본 논문은 부산도시철도 공간의 공공디자인에 대한 1차 연구로 안내디자인의 현황을 점검하고 그 효용을 진단하는 것에 주목적을 두었다. 현재까지 개통·운영되고 있는 부산도시철도 1·2·3·4호선 및 부산김해경전철을 답사하여 수집한 자료 분석과 전문가 집단 및 도시철도 이용객의 설문 결과를 종합하여 개선점과 지향점을 도출하였으며, 도시철도 공간이 다양한 용도로 활용되고 있는 사례에 착안하여 정거장으로써의 기능과 함께 대중공간으로써 효용을 충족시키는 안내디자인의 방향을 조명해 보았다. 본 논문의 자료는 현재와 아울러 향후 건설되는 부산도시철도의 공공디자인 정비 사업에 참고 될 수 있도록 하며, 랜드마크로서 부산도시철도를 제고하여 도시브랜드마케팅 자원으로의 가능성과 활용에 기여하는 것으로 의의를 두었다. 주제어 도시철도, 공공디자인, 안내디자인 Abstract Recently, Busan Metro (urban railway) continues its technical and cultural effort to improve public services including replacement work of guide signs. The space of subway is a representative place which can be a barometer of the level of the public welfare of the city. While the number of users of the subway of Busan from home and abroad including the transportation vulnerable is continuously increasing, achieving public design in accord with this tendency is all the more emphasized. This paper is a primary study on the public design of the space of Busan Metro primarily aimed at examining the current condition of guide sign design and diagnosing its utility. Analysis of data collected from field investigations of Busan Metro Line 1·2·3·4 and Busan Gim-hae Light Rail Transit currently running and surveys conducted targeting Metro users were synthesized to elicit areas to improve and pointers to future directions. And based on the instances of urban railroad being used for various purposes, the directions for guide sign design were illuminated that would satisfy both its function as station and its utility as public space. The significance of the data for this study could be found in that they could be reference materials for public design improvement projects for the Busan urban railway which is to be built henceforward, and by enhancing the status of Busan Metro as a landmark, they could also be used as resources for city brand marketing.
