| 내용 | 현대패션의 박물관 전시에 관한 연구 The Exhibition of Modern Fashion in Museum 주저자 : 박주희 국민대학교 의상디자인학과 부교수 Ju-Hee Park Dept. of Fashion Design, Kookmin University 교신저자 : 함연자 동의대학교 패션디자인학과 부교수 Youn-Ja Ham Dept. of Fashion Design, Dong-eui University __________________________________________________ 논문요약 본 연구는 예술 박물관, 디자인 박물관을 포함하여 패션 박물관에서 이루어지는 패션 전시의 연구를 통해 패션이 예술로 기능하는 오늘날의 현상을 논의하고 그 의미를 밝히는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 패션 박물관이 생기기 이전의 패션 전시에 대한 논의와 역사를 고찰하고, 패션 박물관 설립의 역사, 패션 박물관을 중심으로 기획되는 동시대 패션 전시의 형식별 연구 및 의미논의를 하였다. 동시대 전시의 연구범위는 박물관의 패션 전시가 활발히 일어나기 시작한 2010년을 전후하여 2009년부터 2013년까지 5년간으로 한정하였으며, 유럽과 미국, 일본을 비롯한 세계의 예술 박물관, 디자인 박물관, 패션 박물관에서 이루어지고 있는 패션 전시를 대상으로 분석하였다. 문헌연구와 사례분석을 통해 동시대 패션 전시는 주제별, 장소별 분류에 의해 디자이너 혹은 유명인을 기리는 회고전시, 패션현상의 변화에 주목한 주제전시, 국가와 도시를 이동하며 전시하는 순회전시, 자체박물관을 활용하는 패션하우스 전시로 분류하여 논의하였다. 오늘날 활발하게 진행되는 패션 전시의 의미로는 기금마련 및 관람객 유치 등에 관한 경제적 의미, 예술과 패션의 관계변화의 관점에서 파악되는 예술영역의 확대현상이 도출되었으며 이를 바탕으로 국내 패션 전시의 전망을 논의하였다. 주제어 패션 박물관, 회고전시, 주제전시 Abstract The aim of this study is to discuss today's fashion as art by examining fashion exhibitions in museums. The study explored the history of fashion exhibitions before and after the establishment of the Fashion Museum. Through this case study, the study classifies exhibitions and discusses their significance. The review of literature and case study had been conducted so as to analyse the different types of contemporary fashion exhibitions. The study was conducted over a period of five years from 2009 to 2013, as fashion exhibitions have actively emerged approximately since the year 2010. The subjects of research were the exhibitions held in art museums, design museums and fashion museums in Europe, the United States and Japan. The study discusses retrospective exhibitions honoring historic designers and celebrities, thematic exhibitions that focus on the metamorphosis into today's fashion, traveling exhibitions and self-museum exhibitions for fashion houses. The economic implications and the expansion of the meaning of art are discussed as the significance of fashion exhibitions.
