| 내용 | 태양숭배 사상을 통해 본 중국 태양상징으로서의‘원’도형 연구 The China's figure‘circle’came to symbolize the sun through the Sun Worship 주저자 : 오 정 서울과학기술대학교 NID대학원 IT·디자인융합프로그램 박사 Jing, Wu Seoul National University of Science and Technology NID Graduate School, Seoul, Korea 교신저자 : 노미선 서울과학기술대학교 조형대학 디자인학과 교수 Mee-Seon, Roh Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul, Korea --------------------------------------------------------- 논문요약 중국은 태양숭배의 중요한 발원지중의 하나로 태양숭배 사상은 중국 원시사회에서 최초로 발생한 가장 중요한 종교형식의 일종이다. 그중 태양숭배사상에서 태양을 상징하는‘원’도형의 출현은 바로 원시 인류의 태양형태에 대한 무의식의 표현방식에 있어 가장 직접적인 표현이다. 본 논문은 각 시기에 따른 태양숭배 문화 중에서 태양상징으로서의‘원’도형의 연구와 분석을 통해‘원’도형이 태양을 상징하게 된 변천과정을 알아본다. 중국 태양숭배사상 중에서 태양을 상징하는‘원’도형이 내포하는 자연숭배, 천신(天神)숭배, 종교숭배, 황권(皇權)숭배, 길상(吉祥)숭배의 발전과정을 결론으로 도출한다. ‘원’도형은 조형에서 최초의 구상(具象)적인 원형(圓形)의 자연속성(屬性)에서 추상(抽象)적인 원형(圓形)의 의념형식(意念形式)으로 변화과정을 거쳤다. 종류의 표상에서 그 형식은 매우 다양하다. 하지만 주제를 둘러싼 기본은 유사하게 모두 태양 자체에서 출발하며, 그에 대한 주요 표현은 크게 태양의 성광(聖光)과 태양의 회전 이 두 가지에 있다. 그중 태양의 회전을 주제로 한‘원’도형의 표현 방식이 가장 두드러지며, 발전범위가 광범위하고 파생되어진 문양도형이 가장 특색이 있다. 모두 원의 회전에 의해 나타나는 모양변화로 표현하고 있고, 체계적인 변화발전 또한 갖추고 있다. 마지막으로 본 논문이 도출한 결론은 중국 태양숭배현상 중에서 태양을 상징하는 것으로부터 만들어진다. ‘원’도형은 중국문화에서 일종의 독특한, 어떠한 다른 형태로도 대체할 수 없는 시각디자인의 형태가 되었다는 것이다. 수천 년의 중화민족문화의 정신을 응집시킴과 동시에 중국의 미래 디자인문화의 전승과 발전 방향을 인도할 것이다. 주제어 태양상징, ‘원’도형, 태양숭배 Abstract China is one of the important homes of sun worship that is sort of the first and most important religious from that occurred in China's ancient society. In the sun worship, the emergence of the figure‘circle’that symbolizes the sun is the most direct expression in ancient mankind's unconscious method of expressing the form of the sun. The purpose of this study learns about the process of changes through which the figure‘circle’came to symbolize the sun by conducting an organized study and analysis of the figure‘circle’as the symbol of the sun among the sun worship cultures according to different periods. This study derives the processes of developing the worship of nature, the worship of the gods of heaven (天神), the worship of religion, the worship of the emperor's power (皇權), and the worship of good luck (吉祥), all of which had been expressed by the figure“circle”representing the sun among China's sun worship cultures. The figure‘circle’underwent the process of changes from the first concrete circle-shaped natural attributes (屬性) to the abstract circle-shaped form of meditation (意念形式). In terms of the symbols of its types. their forms largely vary. However, Their basics surrounding the main theme all similarly started from the sun itself, and its major expressions were largely divided ito the sun's sacred light (聖光) and the sun's rotation. Out of them, the expression of the figure“circle”with the theme of rotation is most pronounced, and patterned figures that had an extensive range of development and had been derived have the most distinct characteristics. All were expressed as shape changes exhibited by the circle's rotation and involved systematic changes and development. Finally, this study derived the conclusion that among China's sun worship phenomena, the figure“circle”produced as the symbol of the sum has become a visual design that is sort of a unique shape that cannot be replaced with any other forms. This has clustered the spirit of the Chinese nation's culture for thousands of years and has led the transmission and development direction of China's future design culture.
